The City of Lowell offers the convenience of online payment for Motor Vehicle Excise Taxes.  Please read the Notices below prior to continuing.

Notices

• This service is provided as a convenience by the City of Lowell to its citizens and bill payers to pay bills "currently due."
• Signing up for this service is free and allows you to access, view, and schedule to pay your bills through Metropolitan Communications (MCC), a 3rd party Merchant.
• Motor Vehicle Excise Taxes are usually available for online payment by the day you receive your bill.
• Please contact the City of Lowell's Office of the Assessors at 978-970-4200 if you have any questions regarding valuations or adjustments on your Motor Vehicle Excise Taxes.
• Please contact the City of Lowell’s Office of the Treasurer at 978-970-4222 in order to arrange for payment of overdue Motor Vehicle Excise Taxes.
• Please contact MCC at 978-562-6349 for assistance with the online bill payment service.
• Online payments for Non-Renewal of your Motor Vehicle Registration or Driver's License can not be made through this system.
• Online payments are usually reflected immediately; overdue bills displayed are refreshed every 30 days; amounts due are subject to change per the appropriate Collection Schedule.
• Payment may be made directly from your checking or savings account by electronic check (ACH Transaction), or via select credit cards.
• As the bill payer, you are responsible for any convenience fees assessed by MCC for online bill payment.
• All payment transactions on this system are processed using a secure connection, and in US currency only; the Merchant’s country of origin is the USA.
• Mailing your payments, or paying them in person is an option always available to you.
