The City of Lowell Parking Office's objective is to provide our customers, a clean, safe and customer friendly parking environment, with emphasis on quality of facilities and services in a professional business management atmosphere.
The City of Lowell is responsible for the management, operation, and maintenance of the 7,000+/- City-owned parking spaces both on-street and off-street facilities; one attended parking lot on Davidson Street; and many other locations throughout the downtown and university areas. Services such as Resident, Downtown, and Business Parking Programs, and the downtown Merchant Validation program, are offered to enhance customer satisfaction and convenience.
The Parking Department provides many important results: promotes parking turnover in commercial districts, assists with relieving traffic congestion through out the down town area, meeting or exceeding all current Americans with Disabilities Act parking requirements as well as maintaining itself as a self-supporting entity.
All Parking garages are monitored by selected random video surveillance. The City of Lowell’s contracted security is Reliable Security Company. Reliable Security is on location at each garage 24 hours a day. If you feel uneasy when returning to your car you may call Reliable Security at 1 800-228-3840 for a safety escort to your vehicle.
