SUBJECT:       COUNCIL MOTION OF 8/14/07 BY COUNCILOR MENDONCA

“Request the City Manager report on the status of the Capital Plan for the City of Lowell”.

In regards to the above-mentioned motion, I have been working with the School Department, Planning & Development, Public Works (including Water, Wastewater and Parks), Police and Fire in the preparation of the capital plan.  A draft plan is expected to be ready for presentation by the end of September.  This plan will include building and equipment needs as well as a vehicle replacement schedule.
