Motion 7/24/07 Angle St. Condominiums

MEMORANDUM

TO:                 Mayor William F. Martin, Jr.

                                    And

Members of the Lowell City Council

FROM:           Bernard F. Lynch, City Manager

DATE:            August 8, 2007

SUBJECT:     MOTION OF 7/24/07 BY COUNCILOR CAULFIELD

REQUEST NO PARKING SIGN ON ANGLE STREET AT ANGLE CONDOMINIUMS

In response to the above-mentioned motion, Jeff Gomes, Transportation Engineer assessed the area of Angle St. in questions.  Vehicles exiting Angle Condominiums turning onto Angle Street have been having their line of sight impeded by vehicles parked next to the entrance.  After visiting the site it was concluded that restricting parking in the vicinity would alleviate concerns and provide a safe egress for the residents of Angle Condominiums.  A 60 day trial for no parking will be before the City Council at their next meeting scheduled August 14, 2007.
