RE:                   Council Motion of 5/29/07 by Councillor Rodney Elliott

“Request the City Manager have the Traffic Division install and the Law Department draw the proper vote to place no parking signs on Klianthi Drive.”

Regarding the above motion, I have been in contact with Jeff Gomes, Transportation Engineer, and he stated that he as visited Klianthi Drive and has made some conclusions.  He said that residents of Klianthi Drive and Hunnewell Circle have been very concerned about visitors of a nearby apartment complex parking all night along the entrance to Klianthi Drive.  A survey is being conducted to get the consensus of all the abutters of Klianthi Drive and Hunnewell Circle.

Once the survey is completed, the Transportation Engineer will go forward with the traffic ordinance if the survey results are 75% or more in “No Parking” votes.
