                                    And

FROM:            Bernard F. Lynch, City Manager

RE:                   Council Motion of 4/17/07 by Councillor Caulfield

“Request the City Manager have the proper department clean the debris/litter from the entry ways and exit ways to the Lowell Connector.”

I have been in contact with Mike Demaras, Neighborhood Services, regarding the above mentioned motion.  Mike has informed me that Mass Highway has been contacted and a crew will be cleaning these areas within the next two weeks.  According to Mass Highway’s schedule, which was recently affected by the flood, street sweepers will be cleaning the Lowell Connector during the first week in June.  The Parks Department will clean the end of the Connector along the Gorham Street fence and they have already cleaned the “Welcome to Lowell” area on Thorndike Street.

If you have any questions regarding this, please let me know.  Thank you.
