RE: Council Motion of 4/17/07 by Councillor Elliott
“Request the City Manager have the Board of Assessors report on the status of the annual revaluation.”
I have been in contact with Susan LeMay, Assessor, regarding the above mentioned motion. Susan has created a “Project Time Line” with a list of tasks necessary to complete the FY2008 Triennial Revaluation. The timeframe for each of these tasks are represented by an “X” under the appropriate month showing what task has been completed and what task will be completed in which month. As you can see by this rigid timeline, the Assessors are making every attempt to comply with the request to complete the FY2008 Revaluation by the end of September.
In addition to the tasks on the attached spreadsheet, please know that the Assessors Office is in the process of reviewing the 151 properties that were adjusted due to the 2006 May Flood, and now, as a result of the flooding which occurred last week, they will also conduct a field review of areas affected to ensure the FY08 values reflect the current conditions of those properties.
