Re: council motion of may 29, 2007 by Councilor Elliott - "Request the City Manager have the Police Department address the speeding on Parker Street, Washington Parkway and Oakland Street."

Acting Superintendent Lavallee has reported that regarding the above-mentioned motion, officers assigned to this sector have been instructed to concentrate traffic enforcement efforts in the area of Parker Street, Washington Parkway and Oakland Street. Also, the Traffic Bureau has been advised to deploy selective enforcement patrols on these streets.

He went on to report that from January 1, 2007 through May 31, 2007, officers have written 22 citations and one traffic accident has occurred in this area during that time period.
