The Lowell Plan, in partnership with the City of Lowell, UMass Lowell, Middlesex Community College, the Lowell National Historical Park, and the Lowell Development and Financial Corporation, engaged nationally recognized urban planner Jeff Speck to study Lowell’s Downtown and present his vision for its continued evolution and renaissance.  On September 30, he presented his vision to the 400 people who gathered for the annual breakfast of the Lowell Plan.  The plan includes exciting recommendations for traffic improvements, public investments, and private development opportunities which will strengthen the City’s core over the coming years and decades.  The City looks forward to helping to implement this vision.  A full copy of the plan can be found on the Lowell Plan website http://lowellplan.org/ .
