This program, mandated by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, will assist the Assessors to ensure the accuracy of the information upon which property tax assessments are based.  All inspectors are City employees and issued a picture ID that will be on them at all times.  This program consists of re-measuring the exterior of the property as well as a walk through of the interior of the property.  Failure to provide property information may result in fines and/or loss of abatement rights.  If any resident has questions about this program, please call the Assessors Office between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
