Blog from the Office of the City Manager

The Office of the City Manager is pleased to announce the launch of a blog site from the City Manager’s Office.

The site can be accessed from the City of Lowell website (www.lowellma.gov) as well as from its own web address at http://lowellma.wordpress.com.

City Manager Bernie Lynch states, “I see the blog as another means to get information out to the public in keeping with our ongoing commitment to provide our residents and businesses with timely and relevant information regarding the City and the operation of its government”.   The “Blog from the Office of the City Manager” will feature posts on various City issues, projects and programs.  It will also be utilized to provide a means of presenting the Manager’s perspective on various issues so as to give readers an understanding of the basis of certain actions and decisions that are subsequently undertaken by the Administration. 

The link to the blog can be found on the City Manager’s page from the City of Lowell website.  Readers are able to ask questions as well as comment on the Manager’s entries in a moderated interactive format.  According to the Manager, “The goal of all of these new and prior efforts is to be open and accessible with the belief that more information regarding the affairs of the City can only benefit all of us as we move forward on so many important efforts as well as the more mundane issues of local government. Only in this way can we adequately insure that public discussions are fully productive, that resident and business concerns are fully addressed, and that City government is as fully open and transparent as possible.”
