2006 Lowell City Council Sworn In; William F. Martin Jr. Elected Mayor

- James L. Milinazzo (Vice Mayor)

William F. Martin Jr. was elected as the City of Lowell's 85th Mayor
since it's incorporation in 1836 and James L. Milinazzo was elected
Vice Mayor.
At the City’s inauguration ceremony on January 3 Mayor Martin said
he was honored to be elected as Mayor and pledged to work with his
colleagues on the City Council and School Committee to make Lowell the
best city of its size in the country.
Mayor Martin is a life long Lowell resident and is a graduate of the
College of the Holy Cross and Boston College Law School. He resides in
Lowell with his wife, Martha, and their 3 children.
