The Convenience of Permitting

The City of Lowell is working to make permitting and compliance convenient.  Our first step is to give applicants access to the forms, applications and fee schedules from the comfort of their homes and offices. 

Downloadable Forms and Documents

Get 24 hour access to forms, applications and fees.  Download what you need, complete electronically, print out, sign and mail or bring it to Development Services Office with the applicable fees, for processing. 

AS A NEW SERVICE, many of our forms can be completed electronically.  A convenience for our frequent customers can be filled out with all your standard ifnormation (business information, licenses and registration) and saved to your computer.  Whenever you need a permit all you have to do is fill out the project details print and submit in person or by mail with a check for the permit fee amount.  

Real Time Communication

Want to know the minute your permit has been issued and is ready for you to pick up?  Interested in what inspections have been completed and what still need to be done?  By providing your email address on the applications we can communicate with you electronically, allowing for more realtime updates, instant notifications, and other useful info.

Future Improvements

We are working hard to identify additional opportunities to increase your access to Development Services, Permitting and Code Enforcement.  Online permit applications, real time records search and other tools are all being considered for added convenience of our customers.  Check back for updates and improvements.
