House Marker Program

|
The Lowell Historic Board began a historic home marker program in 1996 for residences located in the several neighborhood historic districts listed on the National Register of Historic Places. To be eligible for a marker, the residence must be listed as contributing within its particular district.
The program has since been expanded to included historic homes note within a designated neighborhood historic district but are at least 50 years old and included in Lowell’s historic and architectural resources inventory. Special arrangements can also be made for properties not included in the inventory but are at least 50 years old and have been researched to establish construction date and original owner.
